Seperation

Prodigy can be separated into two halves, down the middle of the ship, in an emergency. The ship can function like this for a limited time (i.e. to escape an attack) and has two separate engines for this purpose; however, it is not designed to function in this way long term (due to excessive power consumption).

Prodigy is a DFA Prototype ship and therefore has a unique design, including specialised equipment such as the Borg Bay and Android Charging Bay needed to support her unique crew.
