2424.08 - 2424.10

Stardate 2424.04- 2424.08 - Captain Kit Taylor -  Begin Log

Johnathan Walters

A lot has happened this year, but due to technical difficulties we’ve had difficulty keeping logs, so I’ll try to summarise as much as I can remember.

After the incident with Section 31, shit hit the fan, yet again, when Damon Wood stole a shuttle and went after a Borg signal. We later found out that he’d been having ‘nightmares’ that were messages from his parents, a distress call sent directly to Damon. The ship they’d been on had been severed from the Collective and badly damaged.

Prodigy set off after Damon the second we noticed the missing shuttle, Prodigy’s Collective tracking his proximity signal, but unfortunately we were delayed by an ion storm. The ion storm caused a massive power outage aboard Prodigy and damaged a lot of vital systems aboard the ship. C6, who was charging, was overloaded and sent flying by the electrical shock and Lyra, who was also charging her implants, had the same issue although C6 was much easier to fix…

Saran and C1 were able to fix C6 without too much of an issue, but Lyra suffered brain damage because of the short circuit in her cortical implant. She was rushed to sickbay and treated by Tas and Me’D, with the help of Mia Rainier. The medical team decided to use the Regression Virus on Lyra to save her life, it did reverse the damage but also regressed her to about 12 years old. This didn’t cause her much distress, but loosing her implants did. She had been working with Unit to design new ones.

Lyra After Treatment

We did find Damon on a badly damaged Borg Probe. Both of his parents had already died from their injuries, but we were able to save a teenager who is currently going by the designation ‘Seven’, given to her by Prodigy’s Collective. Onboard the Borg vessel were some of the scientists responsible for what happened to Valen and through their neural processors, we may have found a lead that could help us find his twin sister, Fraya.

We spent the next couple of months recovering on Babylon Station. There was an incident between Damon and Colonel MarQ that lead to Ms Furgison, Damon’s mother, being called. Damon and Banor worked out their differences and Ana, I believe somewhat reluctantly, allowed Damon to stay on Prodigy.

Johnathan Walters, from the Section 31 ship, is now serving as a medical trainee aboard Prodigy.

Looking into Seven’s background, Six and Heter have found some disturbing information regarding Romulan prison camps where prisoners, including Seven’s parents, had been experimented on. It seems Seven’s parents escaped with their daughter shortly before being assimilated. We will be investigating this further because the information suggests more camps may be out there. We know that at least one of the experiments done on the prisoners included the use of Borg nanoprobes which is likely what attracted the Borg to Seven’s parents in the first place. This, along with genetic manipulation, may also explain some discrepancies in Seven’s age as she is at an age where she would normally have been activated, but we found her still in maturation.

We are currently about to disembark on a humanitarian mission to Sylva, with the aim of helping the Chernov survivors of last year’s attacks. Ambassador Magar and a small contingent of Cardassian diplomats will be joining us on this mission.

Meanwhile, Commander French is leading an away team with Yel, Siril, Six, Eternity and Valen. They have taken Ohana to an Outpost found in the neural processors of the drones Damon found, this outpost may have information that could help us find Fraya.
